No. No one is interested. Street racing is illegal, dangerous, and stupid. This forum is here to promote the joining of car enthusiasts in Montana engaging is SAFE, and LEGAL vehicular activities. So as I said in another thread. there will be NO MORE talk of street racing on this forum._________________ Michael Montoya |

wow funny. i mean im sure no one on this forum has ever been involed in any illegal activities concernin there cars. i mean come off ur high horse kid , u can just ask to please not bring up the subject. works alot better than bein a prick. also on that fact, if the track is closed im sure that the street racin will pick up tremedously. that is a subject that does need to be discussed becasue it will effect anyone who is a car enthusiast.
and dont read this wrong IM NOT PROMOTIN IT, but it is gonna happen . pretty sure u have done a few of those illegal street races urself |

No where did I say that I have never street raced. Because yes, I have. When I was 16 and an idiot. Back when it was cool. If you took the time to read what I wrote instead of throwing out your response, you would have noticed I said that it will not be promoted in this forum. If you would like to start a thread discussing street racing, go ahead, but the moment that thread turns into a "hey, lets meet here, I'll bring the launch pads" then it will be immediately deleted. And as to street racing affecting everyone, yes, it will. It will affect the kid who is in jail for vehicular mansaughter when he ran a stop sign, and it will affect the kid that has to finish life without their father because he happened to be in the way on a road that is "never occupied". So before you tell me to "come off my high horse", please take a look at what you are defending._________________ Michael Montoya |

| woww is right, i never in a million years figured the down home boys would get all holyer than thou over this. hey redmitsu, calm down man, and yeah, there will be racing, either way, and how is it that it was "cool" when you were 16, but not now? it has only been 5 years since you were 16, and further more, if someone was to run a red light and hit another person that would definately be bad verry verry bad, but you need to knock off the attitude like we are 14 year olds that have only had a license for 3 weeks and realize that you can have a controlled, "safe" streetrace on a near deserted road with car entusiasts that want to be there. god i have only been on this site twice and you have singlehandedly turned my interest into something way less than it originally was. |

yes u need to come off your high horse. and if u notice i did read your post . and made a proper response, i really dont care about your little power trip here , your comin off as a know it all . and im sure u have done a lil more than just street race when you were 16 , dont bs bud. like i said crawl off your high horse , u didnt even see that guy just got on the forum. that was his first post so why didnt u just ask instead of bein aidiot and jumpin his shit? . all u have to do is say hey we dont want to promote that here. so grow up and be reasonable, because your not . |

| Last time I checked the forum rules discussing the subject was not explicitly condemned. Correct me if I'm wrong of course. If there is a new rule then it should be there and ideally an announcement should be made since this particular topic is pretty obviously going to come up frequently around this sort of forum. Many car forums have a STREET and strip sub forum. RedMitsu means well but whether he realizes it or not the blunt manner he's handling this in really comes off negatively. |

| I am with Josh on this one. I am not going to say street racing is right, but everyone has done it at some point or another, including myself. I remember back in the day Josh and I racing almost on a weekly basis out on Hesper and 64th. I dont remember ever winning, but hell it is alot of fun. I have known Josh for many years and he is probably one of the most hardcore racers on the site. Sometimes you have to fuel your passion regardless if it is legal or not. If we dont get a drag strip this year I guess that is all we have to look forward to. _________________ Michael Card - Site Administator2001 GC-35R Impreza |

| I have split these posts from the other topic to try to keep the thread on the strip less cluttered. Turbo - I do owe you an apology. I'm sure you understand the point I was trying to get across, but I did it in a less than fashionable manner. So, as far as that goes I hope we are squared away there. As for everything else. Obviously I can't control what is said and done here on this forum, but I do implore those that wish to partake in organized street racing to not organize it on this forum. Get numbers, make calls, send texts and do what is needed to be done, just please do not make dedicated street race meet threads. This forum has been a good this so far for the past 5 months for our car community, and I only hope that it continues to grow. _________________ Michael Montoya |

| Street racing now has a new home under the RACING section. We can talk about whatever we want in my opinion and that is why the internet is so great. If you do not race you will not get in trouble, period, so there is really nothing to worry about. For the people that do, I hope you dont get caught. _________________ Michael Card - Site Administator2001 GC-35R Impreza |

| the messed up part of that situation was they acted like we robbed their fricken house. i talked to unruh about 4 years ago and asked him if he remembered that, he did, and then about a week later, he came across shilo and watched a couple races between me and the late dave breise (dep sherriff that died on the highway infront of cummins). he was a great guy, even for a copper, he would come out and race damn near every weekend in his 77 pontiac trans am with a 13 to 1 455 and a 4 speed. fuck i miss those days... |

| Let me get this straight: Malta, which probably has more open land available than most other towns in Montucky, can only spare enough room for a 1/8 mile drag strip? Why even bother when you can probably just go out to any back road around town and have a longer straight-away? _________________ |
