I want to join to kite boarding extravaganza!!!!!

You are more than welcome, but you will need a kite and they are VERY EXPENSIVE! You will need a harness kite and they are anywhere from $500-$1500. Mine was $950.

Yeah mike was teaching me how to fly his kites and they are a pain in the butt to learn how to fly. Youll be so tired after the first few times. your arms will feel like jello.

Yeah, Kiting is not an easy sport. I even get pretty tired after a few minutes of being pulled around and I am in pretty good shape. Good times though.

Mike, I want to see you try this someday. I can only imagine the ideas I could come up with if I was ever strapped into a kite with a snowboard on.

It is the most fun you will ever have. It is pretty much like waterboarding, but you are in control of your speed, not the person in the boat. It is very hard, but you are an excellent boarder, so I assume you would be damn good at it.

This is for you MONTOYA, the PANISH (AKA - Death Kite). This is a handle kite which is very, very, very exhausting. I believe the wind was barely even blowing the day this pic was taken. The panish will kill you if you fly it in wind over 10mph. You will be flying it fine until you catch a draft and then you get pulled straight up in the air without even loading it up. This kite is very scary, hence the nickname.

THE PANISH!!!! I LOVE IT! Man, i can't wait to take that thing out again, I miss it so much. I may just have to buy a panish when the spring rolls around again.

Almost thought I was going to be able to break out the kite this weekend, but of course there was no wind. Suppose to snow for the next 4 days, so hopefully there will be some wind behind it.

Going to try and get out and fly the kite today. Hopefully there is wind.

Here is a link to the Q2 website for the interview my brother-inlaw did. We actually took a hike to the Bighorn Mountains this past weekend to do some kiteboarding and it was amazing. The only downfall was hiking up the mountain which was about 1.5 miles uphill. The last .5 miles was about 2 feet of snow which made things kind of interesting. Overall it was a fantastic day. We had a group of about 6 snowmobilers watching and recording us flying later in the afternoon. The awesome thing was they gave us a ride back to the car saving us about 2 hours of hiking. Thanks again to those great people of Wyoming.

What a sweet afternoon of kiteboarding! Wind really picked up beyond my kites rating so I had to fly a different one. Got a pretty good 15 foot jump in and landed it. WHAT A SWEET SPORT! Going again tomorrow for sure!

Called my neighbor last night and he game me permission to use his 600+ acre field north of my place! I cannot wait for the sun to come up!

Got some really good kiteboarding in today along with some video. I actually had a really awesome jump that was probably around 7-10 feet high and landed it, but right at the time of the jump Ricki was changing cameras and missed it. No be deal. I have a couple videos on my Facebook page of some decent jumps from this afternoon.

Those vids were right before we switched over to my new camera. We were using my waterproof one as the wind was blowing so bad.

Well if I had a board I would! But unfortunately I ski and don't even own a pair of those!

According to my internet sources this week is going to be amazing for kiteboarding. Really looking forward to getting out and flying HIGH! Wed-Sat is around 17MPH with gusts of 30+! It is about time as I have been waiting for over 2 weeks to get back out and have fun.

Got out and tore it up this morning for about 4 hours. What a sweet session. It was kind of a bummer it was snowing though, because I didnt realize my kite was filling up with snow making it fly weird. Had about 30lbs of snow in it and I had no clue. Hoping for another good day tomorrow.

Really hoping the wind is blowing today. Be nice to be able to get out 2 days in a row.

Had an unbelievable day of kiting yesterday. Rick and I actually had an 8hr session of just hardcore 15+mph winds. Tomorrow is suppose to be somewhat similar wind conditions, so we will be out in full force. This time we are going to bring the camera and get some footage. Over the last couple sessions we have been getting better and better and now it is to the point where I am getting about 7ft of air on every jump and landing them all.

The next video is going to be amazing!

Heading out for the Big Horns here in the next few minutes. Pretty stoked to get out and get some Kiteboarding done. I guess the winds are suppose to be rippin' about 17MPH today, so I should get some pretty sweet footage, especially now since I have a few different lenses and filters.

Well today was a complete bust. Drove 300 miles to kiteboard and there was no wind! Hiked 5 miles and some of which was 4ft deep. I am very sore and might die.

It was all worth it. I was really angry yesterday, but thinking back it was worth it just for the exercise.

Looks like Rick and I are going to make another attempt at the Big Horns this weekend. This time we are going to be smart about it and bring an ATV so we are not destroyed before we even start kiting. Hope the wind is good.

Yeah, there is really no interest in Kiteboarding I guess. The season is kind of over till October anyhow.

Well had the maiden voyage of the season yesterday. Drew and I rocked the Montana for about 2 hours or so. Didnt really get much boarding done as the wind was pretty light, but it did give me time to show Drew how the kite works. On your first day it is always better to have less wind.

Well what do you know there is snow and wind in the same day and of course I am laid up with food poisoning. I threw up 8 times and pooped every 45 minutes yesterday. Worst I have ever felt for sure.

Have not eaten anything in 43 hours, which is sweet timing as Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.

Hope that I am feeling better by tomorrow as there is suppose to be more wind.

Forgot to put a post up the other day, but I was feeling much better and there was wind, oh yes, there was wind. Was actually able to get out for about 4 hours and wow is my stomach sore. First time out is the worst.

Looks like the weather is suppose to be pretty good this week, so if I am not driving I will be flying.

Nothing like looking out the window all day hoping for wind. What a drag.
