Have been waiting for the GREEN light to choose our track days for the year as OPI has first choice on weekends and I finally received an email. Our track days will be July 7th and 8th along with August 18th. Pricing is still up in the air as we have had issues in the past with people not showing, but I imagine it will be the same as long as our rental and insurance didnt go up.

That is one of the most foolish and dangerous things anyone can do to their wheels, so no, I doubt anyone in town would do that.

A 195 on a 7.5 or 8 isn't much of a stretch i bet anywhere will do that. 240 guys run 205's on 9.5 wide wheels all the time. A 195 is 7.6" wide so that will be fairly square on either size wheel. A slight stretch can help with clearance as well as give the tire a more responsive turn in. I don't like crazy stretches like 205's and 215's on 9 and 10" wheels but a 195 on a 7.5 wheel sounds like a fine idea. Take it to Rod at Expert tire downtown, they always mount all my stuff.

Agreed! Rod is a great guy, he's our main man for tires at work and he's done all the wheel/tire work on my Venge too!

I've always wondered why on earth people would do such a thing to their wheels....... I just figured it was a new "Rice Fad" but thanks for the info Jason!

Here's a good shot off the SCCA forums of a 195 on a 7.5" wheel.

195 on a 10" wheel now this is stupid and could cause the bead to break.

I like as much tire as possible but there is no reason Jake shouldn't run what he asked about as far as safety.

I would post some real crazy setups from Zilvia but I'm currently banned for a few more weeks!

The 195's or 205's would probably look the best if you can fit them. If you want you know you can always steal the fender roller back when I get it back from Big Perm.

Alot of folks put 195's, and even 185's on 8 inch rims all the time... and I'm talking about people who run the shit out of there cars in motorsports events (mostly hachi dudes in drift events). I have also had an enjoyable experience with expert tire downtown.

dont know that they will do it. i have had all my wheel and tire work done by them (alignment, patching, new tires, new lugs, ect) and they wouldn't put my 205 45 16 tires on my 16x8 inch rims and thats not much of a stretch even. that is even the recommended tire size on wheel fire for that style of rim.
