UPDATE : May 04 Prices will be $70 for the weekend or $40 for a single day. I will start taking payments at the beginning of next month.

UPDATE : JAN 14th Dates have been changed to July 7th and 8th.

UPDATE: Todd and Michaela's wedding fell under the June 23rd and 24th weekend, so I am trying to change to 2 weeks later. I will post again once things are finalized.

Our track days have been selected and they will be July 7th and 8th along with August 18th. Not sure what pricing will be, but I will keep you informed after I receive that information.

I also may set a cap on attendance as our last meet was awesome due to the low turnout allowing us to run all day without cones on an open track.

Before I get questions flooding in about it, I believe we will be staying on the grounds overnight in June as long as things go as they did last year.

    Open for discussion.

But doesn't it cost a helluva lot more if fewer attend?

Not really. I would rather pay an extra $10 a person and have a more safe and open track.

True, however if it comes to that, you could do run groups. And I don't know about everyone else, but my brakes could definitely not hold up to a full day. Could only really go a couple laps before I'd have to take a brake break.

    What is there to discuss?

Should only have to make an attendance list.... deligate volenteers for what needs to be done, collect money, and have an event.

I volenteer to pay my fee and drive my car Cool

P.S. make your own run group Cy and let your brakes cool down whenever you want. it's called an open track.

what would be the most cars you would take? I understand the point of taking a set number of cars only due to you could make more laps and be less crowded but also kinda sucks cause then you'd have people signing up right away and then backing out and not telling anyone so the person on say the alternate list wuold be screwed causet that person is inconsiderate.
I have yet to make it to one of these so I dont know how its ran and how people drive/respect everything so i cant talk much haha, Hopefully this year though if schedule is right ill make it to one cause i can't wait to push the evo on a track!
Personally I think having a set number of cars would suck cause some poeple who really wanna go could be fkd outta going. Specially if it ends up being two days thats plenty of time for a large number of cars to make laps. just set em up in classes and boom you getta make this many of laps this day and this many the next. that way everyone is treated far.

No, what really SUCKS is when I get stuck with a large bill at the end because people that say they are going to show up dont, THAT SUCKS and it happened twice last year.

Changing the June dates to the second week of July. Todd and Michaela's Wedding will be on June 23rd, so I am trying to push it back as there will be a few people that are regulars at the track attending the wedding, including myslef. LOL.

I am keeping an up to date section at the top of the first post so you dont have to scroll for days.

    You're Awesome Mikey!!!!! Very Happy

It wouldn't be a big deal for me to miss that weekend at the track myself but we are inviting a few of the MAEC members and it would be sad to miss them.

Unfortunantly I won't be able to make the changed date either as I will be in Hawaii on my honeymoon :p
We fly back in that saturday night the 7th so depending on how we feel (and if our budget allows) we may drive up suday and meet u guys there to spectate Smile

The dates have officially been changed to July. Sorry if they do not meet everyones approval, but we only had a choice between the weekend in June and the July weekend we are going to be running on. Track is getting more popular every year and dates are getting harder and harder to come by.

Since I will be at Todd's Wedding the June date did not work for me.

Na, what I am going to do is have 'X' amount of spots and that will be it. I would much rather have an all out day with not taking breaks and having run groups. One group, all day. So in other words, pre pay will be the only way you will make it (unless other engagements are made as some people live further away).

Our final track day of last year was amazing as we had about 12 cars and we just ran open track all day. Everyone seemed to have a great time and that is what I am going for. Having a huge cluster of cars and breaking it down into run groups really sucks as there are people that can run all day (RJ, James, Matt, Max, etc.) and if your car can take that then beat the hell out of it, that is what the day is for.

Anyway, I have not yet decided, but I believe 15 to 20 cars is a good number as there are always people in the pits and the track will have about 10 to 12 cars at a time.

Looking forward to getting out there again this year, good times as always.

I will let everyone know when I get the insurance and details about when to pay figured out. Sure it will be the same faces as always and I have NO problems with that. Smile

As long as Michaela and I aren't completely worn out when we get back from Hawaii we totally plan to get up the next day (Sunday the 8th) and run the Venge to Lewistown. I have not missed one single Lewistown event and I don't plan on starting now!! cheers

Had a very busy day yesterday, so I didn't end up going on the net at all. Stopped by Vern's and got the confirmation on the insurance, so we are good to go this season.

Thanks again to Vern and his dedication to keep these track days going.

Remember if you need tint with the club discount it is $165 for a vehicle, so hit him up at the Tint Factory.

Prices will be $70 for the weekend or $40 for a single day. I will start taking payments at the beginning of next month.
