Of all the car guys I've hung out with, I've enjoyed the import guys the most, you're young bucks, but most I've talked to are very friendly and quick to lend a hand or share knowledge about a problem. And if you're in the import game, you've got a "been there, broken that" story or two of your own. Very good people.
