I will be down at the Metra for the next 3 days as I have a booth for my business. Come over and visit if you are in the area, I am booth number 406. Just go West of the ACE Hardware booth into the smaller section of the Expo and I am 4 past the Rainbow Play Systems booth.

Hours of operation are:

Friday - 12:00pm - 9:00pm
Saturday - 9:00am - 6:00pm
Sunday - 10:00am - 5:00pm

So for the show is going great. Looks like we are going to have alot of building jobs this year. Today is the day where tons of people will be rolling through.

We will see what happens.

How did things go?

Things went well. It's a good thing that Mike and Kevin decided last year the Deck Tech would be doing building as well, otherwise there might have been almost no business this year! I'd say easily over 75% of the people who talked to us wanted a build, and not a refinish.
This is exciting though, I know that we all enjoy building more than refinishing, and at the very least we won't be covered in sawdust from sanding EVERY SINGLE DAY anymore.

Yeah I've sanded my parents deck before and it's not a fun. I'm glad that you guys are getting good business this year with how the economy is and such. If you need another worker let me know

Judging by the previous years, this is going to be a big one. Already getting calls and it isnt even the middle of March yet.

With the weather being so great I am sure the 2010 season will be here real soon. Predicting a record year.
