Have been waiting for the GREEN light to choose our track days for the year as OPI has first choice on weekends and I finally received an email. Our track days will be July 7th and 8th along with August 18th. Pricing is still up in the air as we have had issues in the past with people not showing, but I imagine it will be the same as long as our rental and insurance didnt go up.

So I pulled into my driveway yesterday evening when I got home from work, threw her in neutral and pulled up the e-brake like I always do and SNAP!!! Of course when it gets cold outside something breaks!!! lol. I looked briefly under the car to make sure the cable wasn't dangling or anything. I'm pretty sure it just got disconnected from the handle in the center console. I'm gonna take it apart tonight to check, keepin my fingers crossed it's that simple...... (but it never is, is it?)

Bummer deal dude. Should be a pretty straight forward fix I would think, if you consider straight forward pulling your rear seat out and stringing a new line. Smile

Sounds straight forward enough for me! Now if it does come to that....... is there a way to make it a little more taught then it was before? I mean have the cable a tiny bit shorter or something so I don't have to pull it ALL the way up for it to keep the car from rolling? (before if it was much below "all the way up" it wouldn't grab very well)

Yeah, there should be some screws to tighten the line. I will take a picture of what the one in my 1g looks like, I think it is pretty similar to yours

Alright, my laptop is being a SUPER POS and won't let me edit this picture at all but here it is. Yours should look VERY similar to this.
Where the one line connects to the bar that holds the 2 lines is a nut. The nut sits directly between the two lines. Tightening this nut tightens the entire e-brake assembly. If you need me to circle stuff juet let me know and I will load it up on another computer.

I am guessing if you broke it you will be replacing it, depending on if it broke right after the nut or further down from the nut. They also make they cable connectors they use on wenches and you may be able to get away with using a small version of those. Pretty sure ACE would have one.

You bet! I do have those cable stops, as well as the cable. If it is broken, we will go use my helpful hardware discount.

Well I took a peak last night and this is what I found:

It's busted right at the lever like I originally thought.
Dougy, call me tonight and lets see what the helpful hardware place can do for me!

Not yet Mike, been too cold and lazy to get to it. I'll mostly likely fix her Saturday before the meet seeing as it's going to be warm that day!
