Anyone happen to know where I could get my hands on a smoke machine for chasing down an intake manifold leak? If you know of a shop who has one, any idea on rates they charge.... these leaks are driving me crazy!

I see there are some homemade ideas online but I am not sure I am ready to start messing with whats involved in building one.

awesome thanks. I still have some testing to do hear that I can handle to see if I can fish out the problem. But I am glad to see I have options.

So far the best tool I have found is using "white smoke" I tyically use it for archery hunting to detect wind patterns.... but it works good for vacuum leaks as well.

have you tryed intake cleaner to isolate the problem? the leak will suck in the cleaner and cause a bog or a stumble, then you can further diag the problem area. i have a can that i would give you, if you need.

Yep he's tried that with no luck, then we pressure tested it and found a few leaks around the injectors and also a leaky o-ring on the injector. I replaced those for him. We are going to pressure test it again if the weather gets nice ever. Just seems like its running like it has a vacuum leak still after fixing those other leaks.
